Revlon ColorBurst in Soft Nude DUPE~

My Nyx preorder arrived in the mail this week and it greeted me when I came home. I actually ordered a total of 4 Round Lipstick but the shade that I was expecting the most, Orange Soda was out of stock. So instead, I got the rest of my orders which are Pumpkin Pie, Circe and Thalia.
Pumpkin Pie seems like the most wearable shade for me when it comes to everyday use. It's a bit orange-y, hence the name and a bit darker than Orange Soda based on the swatches I've seen online. And since my upper lips are actually getting lighter (thanks to Bare Natural's Natural Pink Lip Gel! It works wonders btw :)) Pumpkin Pie is a MLBB shade for me. Circe is the nudest lipstick I own! It's really pigmented and when I have it on, my lips are the same color as my skin tone. I would love to use it on a smoky eye look or when I feel like dressing up as a zombie. Kidding aside, it's a gorgeous color for the nude lips lover like me. Thalia is a meh for me. It's a brownish pink or a pinkish brown. Sorta similar to MAC Hug Me, but a bit darker. I don't think I can use it so I gave it to my grandma instead XD
So, anyway, a while ago I was experimenting with Pumpkin Pie and Circe trying on different combinations because I was looking forward to recreating Orange Soda. I swiped one layer of Pumpkin Pie then I applied Circe sheerly and carefully as to not smudge the Pumpkin Pie. It did look passable for Orange Soda, although not as orange-y.
And being the curious cat that I am, I applied another layer of Circe, heavier than the first one and tada~! It looked exactly like my ColorBurst Soft Nude. The difference is the finish, Soft Nude is a bit drying on my lips but Pumpkin Pie + Circe is moisturizing and creamy, the only con about it is that it's not as long lasting as Soft Nude. But for the price, Pumpkin Pie+Circe is better IMO for 160 bucks a piece compared to Soft Nude's price tag at 575.
No pictures for this post but I'll try to follow it up around next week. >.< I bought my Nyx goodies at Shopgirl19.

Til next time ♥

In Love at First Sight with Guerlain ♥

I was at Shangri-la Rustan's a while ago checking out the Champale collection but I didn't find anything interesting, really. And the Guerlain counter was just right accross MAC so I head over to get myself a mini makeover...Not really though XD

02 Rose Teint

I've just been lemming for Guerlain Meteorites Pearl since forever and it was a perfect time to get to know one better ha! I asked the SA what shade would suit me better. And she recommended the 02 Beige Teint. I actually prefer the 01 Rose Teint (aka Mythic from previous version) but, well, I was just too shy to say it haha. Then she offered to apply it to me. And with the pink fluffy brush she worked her way applying on my forehead, cheeks and the bridge of my nose. Funny thing, when she was dipping the brush on the pearls, a pearl managed to escape and landed on the counter. Haha, good thing it didn't drop on the floor, otherwise there would be a pearl murder haha.

Enough babbling. The effect? I feel seriously blooming. There's glow in my face that I cannot imitate or do with my highlighters. It's ethereal..it's natural and I feel in love. It made my skin look perfect and I so DO NOT have perfect skin.

Ever since I spotted Guerlain Meteorites Pearl on Chang-Yi Airport 2 years ago made me want it. It looked pretty. And reading reviews and articles about it made me want it so bad. I've put it on a pedestal and I had so much high expectations about it that I was afraid that if I buy it, I would be disappointed because it did not perform well on my skin. But now I've been proven wrong! XD It just made my skin soooo perfect.

They retail PhP 2,999 at Rustan's but they're at 20% off until the end of the month. But, as good as it sounds, I'm going to pass the offer. I don't have the spare money to shell out almost 3,000. But I did made a deal with myself. If my skin clears up (I'm using BN Emu Oil with Tea Tree & Witch Hazel) I'll splurge on this item... But I'll definitely go back again to the Guerlain counter and have the SA apply Rose Teint to see what works better for me.

BareNaturals Haul + Natural Pink Lip & Nipple Gel Review + Cupcake Nails!

My first post for 2011! Haha, sorry it took so long. I was waiting for some of my purchases to arrive so I can actually post something with content here. And here is my first purchase to arrive for this year from Bare Naturals, which is my favorite natural mineral make-up and skincare store. BN is actually my first ever make-up ever, and after 3 years I'm still loyal to them <3 Since I'm still well stocked in the mmu department, my purchase this time is mostly on their skincare.

My order :) *so sorry for grainy pics, it's from my camera phone m(-.-)m
